7 Habits of Happy Kids

We use the 7 Habits of Happy Kids by Sean Covey as A Character Education and problem solving program.  I have very few rules in my classroom, just a few for safety and learning. Once we all learn that we are all friends who take care of one another and all of the things in our classroom, we have little need for a lot of rules!  Below is a link to Sean Covey explaining a little about the program in his own words. These are the Habits that we learn and practice.

Habit 1 - Be Proactive-You're in Charge
Habit 2 - Begin with the End in Mind-Have a plan
Habit 3 - Put first things first - Work first, then play
Habit 4 - Think win-win - Everyone can win
Habit 5 - Seek first to understand, then to be understood - Listen before you talk
Habit 6 - Synergize - Together is better
Habit 7 - Sharpen the saw - Balance feels best
And always remember to take care of yourself!
